How it works

Single, double, triple: a tile shows 1, 2 or 3 land types. Singles go on blank canvas.
Dots: every quarter of a square shows one dot, the land type of the tile on top there.
On top of land, any tile goes wherever its 4 quarters each cover one dot, all on the same floor (it lies flat), and its letters match those dots. Aim at the middle of a square, a corner point or the middle of an edge. Floors only decide what lies flat; points don't depend on them.
Primer: a terrain tool on matching land puts a single on top, raising it to floor 2 (straight on a square, or off-grid, which can strand half tiles). A different terrain needs a Repaint power card.
Double · Triple: a tile over dots of 2 or 3 land types, on a corner point or an edge. Nothing goes on top of a double or triple.
Flag: claims the connected patch of one terrain. It freezes: only its artist may prime or cap it. With swamps on (off by default), blank spaces touching it turn to swamp. Either owner may place a tile on a spot shared by two claims; it scores for whoever places it.
Every 3 doubles or triples on a claim spawn the next guardian tier (I → II → III). Guardian health is 10 per tile.
Erasing takes off the top piece. Erasing a swamp drains it (a rare power card in the real game).
Dots (D) show each tile's land type at its corners: where tiles meet, the cluster spells the spot's word.
